Music Ministry

Areas of Ministry: My passion and calling is worship and creative arts. We have the most wonderful team of gifted musicians, singers, and audio/visual people that I have ever had the privilege to lead! They do an amazing job of ministering to our God and leading the worshipers into the presence of God. Our passion as a group is to usher in the presence of God so that He may change lives as only the Holy Spirit can.

I am also the Associate Pastor. My primary job is to advise Pastor Matt on areas of ministry, finance and administration. I can truly say that I have not worked for a more anointed and passionate man of God who both loves God and cares so deeply for the church God has entrusted him to lead!

Family: I so blessed to be married to the most beautiful, loving and committed woman in the world, my wife Jane! I cannot say enough of what a supportive and godly woman she is for these last 24 years we have been married. We have two awesome children Michael 23, and Krista 21 and God has also blessed us with two grandchildren Rylee 4 and Mikey age 2.

Experience: I have been involved in music in the church since I was 12 singing in the choir and then after joining the Army in 1985, God opened up opportunities for me to begin to hone my worship leading skills starting in 1991 in a Serviceman’s Center in Landstuhl, Germany. I have been leading worship on the piano in both full-time and part-time ministry for several churches for the last 17 years. I am honored to have been able to be the part-time worship leader here at AHC for the last 7 years.

Abundant Harvest Church Worship: Our worship is a mix of musical styles from blues/jazz to contemporary modern worship (coming soon a music sample) .We mix both hymns, songs and choruses to be able to minister to a variety of people so that all may enter into the presence of God. We use any instruments our volunteers can play and I am always encouraging them to learn new instruments so that they may grow musically. Our current band consists of two electric guitars, acoustic guitars, base, drums and piano. We have a faithful and talented group of people who run our video and audio departments who utilize streaming video to enhance our worship and display scriptures during sermons. We have also recently added interpretive dancers who take a familiar worship song and bring new meaning to it through dance.

I believe that my fundamental responsibility is to create a supportive and learning environment that will raise up leaders, musicians, technicians and dancers who can usher in the presence of God wherever they are at and wherever God would place them.
